What happens if I don't retune now? You will shortly lose some of you existing channels, and you won't get any new ones. How will I know the retune has worked? You can do this by using the STORE CHANNELS function. If your box has a smart card remove it now since it's not needed. To begin the retune process first select the channel on your TV through which you get the digital services. Then press 'menu' on your TV adapter remote. This will access the main menu. Select "Getting Started" (option 5). Now select "Store channels" (option 4). If at this point you are asked to enter your parental PIN code, you have not removed your smartcard. Please do so now, then select "store channels" again. The software now warns you that this may change your current channel list - just select "continue". This begins the search for channels and may take around 5 minutes. You don't need a smartcard to watch the existing DTT channels or the new channels launching on 30th October. If yours doesn't, you need to press "Menu" on your remote control and follow the on screen instructions or those printed in your manual. A typical sequence is: From the menu options, select the tuning menu Select auto set-up/ update. A pop up menu will probably display "Warning - All current tuning data will be altered" Select auto set-up/ update, which will start the updating process. This may take several minutes. When the updating process has finished follow the on-screen instructions. If you still have trouble receiving a BBC channel after doing the retune update, you can either switch over to another channel (digital) and then back to the channel you are trying to receive, or retune again.
