If you require further help please return to the Advice section What paint can I use to paint my kitchen worktop? Back to list of Questions & Projects Views differ as to whether it is possible to paint kitchen worktops, whatever they are made of. My personal opinion and that of many paint manufacturers is that it is not possible to paint a work surface in a kitchen. A painted worktop would not be durable enough for its normal use and isn't recommended as a food preparation surface. As a good alternative you could tile your worktop or have it laminated.
